Against the idea of the war - Contro l'idea della guerra

All'inizio di Dicembre 2002 abbiamo proposto a tutti gli artisti costruttori di automata di realizzare un opera il cui tema fosse "contro l'idea della guerra", per realizzare una grande mostra che andasse in giro per il mondo.

At the beginning of December 2002, we asked all the automata artists if they were interested to prepare a work who's theme was "against the idea of the war", in order to built a big exhibition ready to go all over the world.

Abbiamo ricevuto 15 opere da tutto il mondo, da Keith Newstead, Paul Spooner, Peter Markey, Keisuke Saka, Aquio Nishida, Luca De Pascalis, Marina Gigli, Girovago e Rondella, Handy Hazell, Malcolm Brook, Walter Ruffler, Ivan Fodaro, Brian Gravenstock e Guido Accascina.

We received 15 works , from Keith Newstead, Paul Spooner, Peter Markey, Keisuke Saka, Aquio Nishida, Luca De Pascalis, Marina Gigli, Girovago e Rondella, Handy Hazell, Malcolm Brook, Walter Ruffler, Ivan Fodaro, Brian Gravenstock e Guido Accascina.

La mostra sarà inaugurata il 21 Febbraio a Roma, al Museo Explora, e rimarrà aperta fino al 2 Marzo. (Roma, Via Flaminia 80 - www.mdbr.it )

Dal 15 Marzo all'8 Aprile sarà in Germania, presso il Museo Schloss Neuemburg nella foresta nera, a cura di Malcolm Brook ( www.schloss-neuenbuerg.de )

Vorremmo che la mostra andasse in giro il più possibile. E' una testimonianza di come l'opposizione all'idea della guerra abbia un carattere universale. La mostra è disponibile gratuitamente, al solo costo del trasporto e del montaggio, per tutte le istituzioni pubbliche e private che ne facciano richiesta.
